What we are all about...

Your preteen and teenage years can be some of the best of your life, but they can come with a whole heap of challenges, tensions and confusion – not to mention lots of exams, coursework, relationships, driving tests, and loads of other stuff too!

The youth team at St Paul’s Church, St Albans is here to help young people to get a real grounding in their faith, as well as come to grips with the issues that surround them everyday. Whether you are new to church, not particularly Christian, just looking around, or have been coming here for years, you are very welcome to come and join in with any of the activities at St Paul’s Youth.

We are really excited about Jesus, so you might hear us talk about him a lot – but we are also here to get alongside young people wherever they are at. It is what we are here for!

St Paul’s Youth is part of the community of St Paul’s Church, St Albans. We have weekly groups on Sundays, weekly clubs on Fridays, midweek events, group activities & excursions and more! You are very welcome to join us anytime and please get in touch if you have any questions about anything.

Pathfinders

During the Covid19 Lockdown, Pathfinders is currently meeting on Zoom, at 11.30am on a Sunday after the 10.30 service stream. If you are in school years 7-9 and would like to join in this group chat please email: tori@stpauls-stalbans.org.

For School Years 7-9

Sunday mornings during the 10.30 service

Pathfinders is the place to be for our younger youth! We aim to create a fun environment that is enjoyable and where friendships can grow and develop. There are times of interactive teaching and talks, opportunities for games to help bond the group together and group times to chat, discuss and pray together.

We aim for the young people in Pathfinders to know and understand more of their true identities as we explore more of God’s love for them and help them grow in their faith. Oh, and of course, we always have food and snacks each week!

This group goes out during the morning service after staying for some of the musical worship time and meets in the Youth Area. Throughout the year we have other events/excursions, trips to local worship events, weekends away and summer trip opportunities!

Deep

During the Covid19 Lockdown, Deep is meeting on Zoom, at 7.30pm on a Wednesday. If you would like to join in this group chat please email: tori@stpauls-stalbans.org.

For School years 10-13

Wednesday evenings at 7.30pm – 9pm

Deep is the main evening of the week for older youth who want to go deeper in their journey with God.

We aim to create an atmosphere where young people belong and feel valued and at home. The evening features worship, talks, discussion, small group time, prayer and more, in a fun interactive setting! We always aim to be addressing topics and running series, which are relevant and helpful to our young people’s needs.

Deep is on a Wednesday evening, with this midweek input complementing the 6.30pm evening church service on Sundays, which youth are also encouraged to come to. Throughout the year we also have other events/socials, trips to local worship events, weekend away opportunities and a big summer trip!

So there is loads going on to help the young people’s relationships with God and with each other to really go deep
