Sunday Groups
During the 10.30am Sunday service, we run groups for all the children aged 0-11. We use age specific curriculum developed from various sources eg Willow Creek, Energize, Scripture Union and New Wine.
After the services as all ages mingle and enjoy refreshments the children and youth can enjoy a friendly game of football in the large hall and we are trying to establish other games and activities elsewhere.
Once a month and on key festivals we have an all age service which endeavours to allow us to use our senses and learning styles to worship
Stepping Stones

Stepping Stones runs for children aged 0-3 years (> 15 on the register, about 10 weekly). A typical session includes 40 minutes free play during which the leaders get to know children better and pray for them and their families. We have a short bible story (with our puppet Coral), worship with instruments or bubbles and pray.
Scramblers

Our playgroup for nursery children, approximately 3-5 years old. We have playtime, storytime, creative time and singing and dancing. We enjoy worship with voices, instruments or actions or all three and prayer with each child contributing ideas or simple responses. We like the children to have made something to take away.
Climbers

Climbers is for children aged 5-7 years (group averaging 12-15 with 20+ on the register). We enjoy learning about the Bible characters, games, craft and learning more about chatting to and catching what God can say to us.
Discoverers

We are a group of children aged 7-9 years (school years 3 & 4) who come together to play games, make things, meet our friends and have fun whilst getting to know God.
Explorers

Explorers is for school yrs 5 & 6, children aged 9-11 (with >20 on the register & about 12 - 15 weekly). We have an informal atmosphere with a slightly more mature feel to help the transformation to youth. We play lots of games, have activities, study the Bible & most importantly eat biscuits!
Group Breakfasts
We think it is really valuable to parents and carers to meet other families with children of similar ages and to help people feel part of the church family and support each other. So we have started Group breakfasts. Our aim is that we will provide breakfast for each Sunday age group at least once a year to give a chance for people to mix and meet, and get to know each other better
Watch this space - in the summer term we will hold breakfasts for years 3-6.
We love parties and holiday activities!
At Christmas children and their friends made a magical journey from the Professor’s lounge through the cupboard into Narnia and met the White Witch, Father Christmas and Aslan. We learnt how special we all are and how God has given each of us special gifts.
In October we joined with our local Methodist church and held a Light party and treat time. After crafts and a praise party we delivered blessings and chocolates to houses around the parish followed by games and more food!
During the holidays our regular helpers have a break and we run special programmes eg film mornings or theme-based sessions eg drama, music, claywork. This Easter we had two special Sundays on April 10th and 17th thinking about “Up” and “The Miracle Maker”.
