Oasis
Oasis is it's name sake, a mid-week all age women's group (but all are welcome) with crèche, where we hope people can come just as they are, to experience God's love and grow in their relationship with Him.
We meet on Wednesdays at 9.20am during term-time. We start with coffee, have a time of worship together followed by a range of group options. Here is one member's experience of Oasis:
A Place to Grow!
A place to grow! When my daughter Lilly was one year old she had a new baby brother; Ralph. She was not happy; she used to bite everyone she met. I couldn't go anywhere without a scene. As a new mother I needed a place to rest and recharge my batteries, a place where I could be amongst other mothers young and old, who could encourage me through these daunting months. I found Oasis.
To be perfectly honest, at first, the religion wafted over me. It wasn't the reason I came, but something kept drawing me back week after week. It felt safe and loving. The people I met were genuine and kind.
As Lilly and Ralph grew so did my love for the Bible discussions, the prayer and the friends I met. It felt good to be talking about things other than the latest toy or fad. I grew to trust my faith that was hidden deep within me.
Lilly doesn't bite people anymore. She is at Nursery, a lively, loving four year old, she misses Oasis, she misses Lydia and the ladies from the crèche. She talks about God all the time. Ralph still comes, he loves the cars. I am still growing.

There are also a variety of courses offered at Oasis, Bible based, marriage course, parenting courses and day-time Alpha. A new day-time Alpha course will be starting in the Autumn term.
