Light party success at St Pauls St Albans

Anna Cashman, children's minister at St Paul's Church, St Albans with some of the around 60 children who took part in a 'positive alternative' to Halloween on Monday evening (October 31st).

Children from five to 11 years old joined in the fancy dress 'light party' on the theme of 'the brave, the bold and the good,' and took part in games, crafts, food and a disco at the Blandford Road church.

Anna said: "It was a great fun evening and all the children seemed to have a good time. We wanted to celebrate the positive and good aspects of life, rather than the dark side that Halloween focuses on."

Volunteers from St Paul's and Hatfield Road Methodist Church worked together to make the event a success.
