Stressed? Need a rest? Spend some time in silent prayer.
“God speaks in the silence of the heart. Listening is the beginning of prayer.” Mother Teresa
Silent prayer is a time to receive more from God. It’s a time to let go of our worries.
To soak in His presence.
What to expect…
We start our time together with a short reading. Then there’s 30 minutes of silence.
Nothing is expected of you – you can just enjoy the silence and soak in God’s presence. You’re welcome to use some of the silent prayer tools on offer – a finger labyrinth, an image and/or passage of Scripture to focus on, a guide to Centering Prayer.
We conclude our time with the words of The Grace prayer (the words are provided).
You’re welcome to leave in silence, or stay for a short chat with others.
