Building Project

St. Paul’s is planning big changes to the church and the halls and this work started on Monday 11th May 2009.  It will take around twelve months and will mean that the buildings will be out of action for most regular activities during this time.  For full details please click on the relevant link at the top of the page. Although the website will be kept up to date, some changes may be made at the last minute so please call the Church office or the group leader if you are not sure.

The aims of the Building Project are:

·         To extend and improve our hall facilities to accommodate Sunday and midweek groups and community activities (including a new Youth Zone)

·         To update and improve kitchens, toilets and access

·         To provide more office space and a reception area

·         For all this to be provided in a welcoming environment, integrating halls and church in an open design. Entry to the church will be from a central concourse, and the church layout will be turned round 180°

Detailed plans are currently on display in church, or see our “Visible Church” leaflet and “Resourcing the Vision” updates available at the back of church.  Our 'Building the Vision' updates are available on this website.

In line with our policy on all giving, 15% of donations to the project are put into a “Mission tithe” to be given to other projects taking forward God’s work in the UK and abroad.

If you have any queries on the project, please speak to a member of the Building Group (Marion Brown, Jim Wright, Judith Jackson, Martin Marriott) or to any member of PCC.
