After 8 (Friday youth club, years 9+)

Youth club on selected Friday nights of term time, 8.00-9:30pm

Open to: School years 9-13

After 8 is our free church youth club for older youth and is essentially what it says on the tin: starting from 8pm on selected Fridays for youth in school years after 8 (so years 9-13, or equivalent).

It is an opportunity for young people to have some space to hang out with friends, get to know new people and have some fun at the end of a busy week. We also love planning alongside the youth to make the time they spend here tailored for them and as enjoyable as it can be. In the past, this has taken the form of them organising themed nights, such as Nerf Gun wars or big games nights in the building, or we have a more general club night, making the most of the games and activities set up in our church halls and youth area lounges. Sometimes we provide food/drinks as part of a themed night, or the tuck shop is always available.

We have short talks, discussions, guest speakers and other inputs sometimes, which very much aim to demonstrate our Christian identity. All youth are welcome and we very much extend invitation for them (and parents/families as well) to come to the various other events we have planned throughout the year, including Sunday groups / summer trip to Soul Survivor!
