Equipping happens in all sorts of ways—through ‘on the job’ experience, mentoring, via church services, small groups, individuals etc.
One important area is the use of Courses. Some of these are run in homegroups but most in the church or halls. They provide ways people can access appropriate training/input at the appropriate time for them. The provision can be described in streams: What follows is a selection courses that have either been run recently or are being run currently.
- Evangelism — Alpha and post alpha groups
- Growing in our relationship with God — Listening to God, Prayer
- Healing Life’s hurts – Prayer ministry training
- Life skills — Marriage preparation, marriage enriching, parenting, parenting for faith
- Enabling—gifting, prayer ministry, communication, evangelism. Gifting and prayer ministry have run in some homegroups.
- Bible strand— Bible overview, Immerse (bible history)
In addition there are a wide range of groups.
