Art Group

The Art Group is thriving, with increasing numbers, and although it is not a class but a group, we do help each other and I think it is very therapeutic. It is a relaxing afternoon—away from home, phone, etc., and absorbed creatively. We always start with a prayer, and during the afternoon our Contact magazine and other appropriate notices are distributed. There is always someone sitting next to you to whom you can chat, unload or confide, even if you don’t know them very well. We have members from some of the other churches in St Albans whom we welcome. The members love it when Brian Norwood can come along with his expertise and professional help. One important event during the afternoon is putting the kettle on (or urn!) so that we can have a cuppa at three o’clock.

Beginners are most welcome to join this all-ability, sharing, relaxed group.

All meetings start with a prayer.

There is an underlying plan to increase our skills, so that they might be used to the glory of God.  Each term's program is a list of suggestions - feel free to do your own thing, especially if something has inspired you during the week.

Daily use of a sketch book is encouraged (and homework); likewise a sharing of ideas and discoveries, and making your own greetings cards. Blank cards, envelopes and the guillotine are available each week.

50p per session and 20p for tea/petty cash.
